Bewaji Zainab Badmus, the wife of controversial Nigerian singer Portable, has caused a stir on the internet by opening a new supermarket.
Sharing the news on her Instagram story, the mother of two posted congratulatory messages she received for her new venture, along with a video clip showcasing the store. Interestingly, she named the supermarket after herself, calling it Omobewaji Supermarket, without including her husband’s name.
Some netizens, commenting on the post, questioned whether Bewaji intended for the singer to close down his own store, while others speculated that Portable was the one who facilitated the opening of the supermarket for her.

It was reported last month that Portable and his wife were facing marital issues as they unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Their troubles spilled onto social media after Bewaji posted a cryptic message on Instagram, referring to herself as a queen and expressing frustration with ungrateful people. Portable responded harshly, asserting that without his name, she was nothing. Bewaji retaliated, declaring she had reached her limit and wouldn’t be pushed further.
A week earlier, Portable had criticized Bewaji’s birthday caption, where she called herself the “Queen of Herself.” He demanded respect and threatened to evict her from their home if she didn’t change the caption. Bewaji eventually relented, and Portable praised her as his queen.
In May, the couple reconciled, with Portable taking Bewaji to Nairobi, Kenya. They shared loved-up videos online, signaling a resolution to their issues.
