Netflix has unveiled the trailer for the sequel to the 2019 film Òlòtūré, titled Òlòtūré: The Journey. Set to premiere on Netflix on June 28, 2024, the series continues the gripping narrative of a courageous journalist, Òlòtūré, as she ventures deep into the perilous world of human trafficking in Nigeria and beyond.

The trailer showcases Òlòtūré’s relentless pursuit to expose the brutal underworld of human trafficking, leading her on a dangerous journey across Niger and Libya. As she confronts slave traders and fights for survival, the stakes are higher than ever.

Directed by Kenneth Gyang, the series features a stellar cast including Sharon Ooja-Egwurube, Omoni Oboli, Beverley Osu, Ikechukwu Onunaku, Stan Nze, Amarachukwu Ono, Bukola Oladipupo, Daniel Etim Effiong, and Patrick Doyle.

Produced by EbonyLife Studios, Òlòtūré: The Journey is part of a collaboration between Netflix and the renowned Mo Abudu-owned studios. This partnership has resulted in the creation of two Netflix Original series, multiple Netflix branded films, and a series licensed to the platform. Among these projects is the film Blood Sisters, also included in the deal.
