< 1 mn read

Chippa United co-head coach, Thabo September admitted goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali could leave the club this summer.

Nwabali has been a subject of transfer speculation following his impressive performance for Nigeria at the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations.

Saudi club, El-Ettifaq, Sky Bet Championship side, Queens Park Rangers and Kaizer Chiefs are among the clubs reportedly interested in the shot stopper.

September can’t guarantee the 27-year-old will remain with the Chilli Boys beyond this summer.

“It’s not the right word to use, but of course I think there’s a high possibility of losing him.

“I don’t think it’s a fear [to lose him], that’s what the club is about,” September told SABC Sport.

The shot stopper joined Chippa United from Katsina United in 2022.
