Ramsey Nouah’s latest crime thriller, Tòkunbò, has achieved a significant milestone by entering Netflix’s Top 10 chart in Nigeria. Released on August 23, 2024, by Ramsey Films Productions, this film marks Nouah’s third feature as a director.
Nouah, a renowned Nigerian actor and filmmaker, began his directing career with the acclaimed Living in Bondage: Breaking Free in 2019. His subsequent work, Rattlesnake: The Ahanna Story, also received critical praise.
Tòkunbò centers on an ex-car smuggler who must deliver a government official’s daughter to her captor within hours, under the threat of severe consequences for his own family. The film explores intense themes of crime and desperation.
