Ruger, the Afrobeats singer, recently opened up about a car accident he experienced in 2023 during an appearance on The Road Show on Cool FM. This revelation marks the first time he publicly discussed the incident, which occurred while driving in Lagos.
According to Ruger, the accident happened at night while he and others were playing around in the car. He described the severity of the accident, noting that the car flipped over three times. Despite the frightening ordeal, Ruger emphasized that everyone involved in the accident emerged unharmed.
Here’s how Ruger expressed it: “The last time I drove in Lagos I had an accident. It was at night, we were playing around when it happened and nobody actually knows about it. This is the first time I’m talking about it. The car tumbled like 3 times but everyone was okay. This was last year by the way.”
Ruger’s disclosure sheds light on a personal experience that he had not previously shared publicly. It underscores the dangers of reckless driving and the importance of safety on the roads, especially in bustling urban environments like Lagos.
In 2023, other Nigerian celebrities like Portable and actor Kelechi Udegbe also experienced car accidents, highlighting the recurring issue of road safety awareness in the entertainment industry. Ruger’s candid admission serves as a reminder of the unpredictability of accidents and the need for caution while driving.
