Rising Nigerian singer-songwriter Bukola Ireti Holo, professionally known as Hola, has taken the music scene by storm with her latest single, “Psychedelic.”
Hola, formerly known as Ohla, rebranded her stage name after the success of “Afro Icon,” a seven-track body of work that solidified her place in the Afrobeats genre. The EP featured collaborations with veteran rapper Vector and prolific producer Mystro, with tracks produced by Big Mouse and Mystro.
Speaking about her new single, Hola shared, “Psychedelic is a fun, exciting song that screams for change. It reflects on how life can sometimes feel plain, sad, and boring, and it expresses a longing for something that can take us to a higher, more colorful place. For me, in this case, love took me there.”
Hola’s journey in the music industry has been marked by her innovative approach and commitment to her craft. With the release of “Psychedelic,” she continues pushing the boundaries of Afrobeats and showcases her growth as an artist after leaving her former record label.
The song’s vibrant and energetic vibe is a testament to Hola’s unique style and ability to blend traditional Afrobeat rhythms with contemporary sounds. “Psychedelic” is not just a song; it’s an experience, inviting listeners to embrace change and find joy in the vibrant colors of life. Fans and critics alike are eagerly anticipating what Hola will bring next as she continues to rise in the global music scene.
