Remi Tinubu donates 50,000 notebooks to pupils in Kogi

“The First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, has donated 50,000 notebooks to pupils in public primary schools in Kogi State through her ‘Renewed Hope Initiative’ project. The notebooks were inaugurated on Thursday at the Government House, Lokoja, by the wife of Kogi Governor, Hajia Sefinat Ododo.

“In her remarks after unveiling the notebooks, Hajia Ododo expressed gratitude to Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her unwavering commitment to educational development and empowerment of children in public schools nationwide. She lauded Mrs. Tinubu’s visionary leadership and dedication to ensuring quality education for all, describing the initiative as an inspiring example.

“Hajia Ododo pledged to continue emulating and supporting Nigeria’s First Lady to achieve better outcomes, emphasizing that the notebooks would be distributed across all 36 states of the federation. She urged the people of Kogi State to continue supporting her husband’s administration in its efforts to elevate the state.

“The governor’s wife reiterated the administration’s dedication to bridging educational gaps and ensuring high-quality education in Kogi. She advised pupils to take their studies seriously and called on stakeholders to ensure the equitable distribution of the notebooks in public primary schools across the state.

“Also speaking at the event, the Commissioner for Education in Kogi State, Mr. Wemi Jones, commended Senator Oluremi Tinubu for her generous gesture towards educational development in the state. He emphasized that educational support remains the most sustainable form of assistance to the people, affirming Governor Ododo’s commitment to enhancing education.

“Mr. Jones highlighted the administration’s focus on continuing and improving the educational legacy left by the former Governor, Alhaji Yahaya Bello. He assured that the necessary logistics were in place to ensure the notebooks reached their intended recipients.

“The commissioner reaffirmed the government’s commitment to providing free education at both primary and secondary levels in public schools across Kogi State. He emphasized the administration’s readiness to elevate the standard of education, noting the governor’s unwavering support for educational development.

“The event concluded with the official unveiling of the notebooks by Hajia Ododo, who subsequently handed them over to the Commissioner for Education for distribution to pupils throughout the state.”
