The Lagos police command successfully rescued Abbas, Youssef, and Amtal Fouani, who were abducted while traveling by boat from their factory in Apapa to Victoria Island. The brothers, associated with Fouani Nigeria Ltd, which specializes in electronics and distributes brands like LG and Hisense in Nigeria, were kidnapped on Friday, June 14, around 6 pm.

According to reports, the kidnappers had demanded $1.5 million for their release. However, the police, with support from the Lagos Marine Police and Nigerian Navy, managed to rescue them without any ransom being paid. Benjamin Hundeyin, the police spokesperson, credited the collaboration between the marine police and the navy for the successful operation.

The rescue took place late at night in Orugbo Iddo, and all individuals involved, including the boat driver and assistant, were freed. The victims were subsequently escorted to their home on Banana Island early the next morning by a tactical police team.
