Okupe labeled his critics as ignorant and narrow-minded, arguing that they lack the understanding he possesses from his extensive experience in Nigeria.
Okupe emphasized that the project of Nigeria transcends any individual or political party and called for collective efforts to move the nation forward. He expressed regret that many of his critics, particularly young Nigerians, know little about the country’s complexities. Despite having supported Peter Obi in the past, Okupe stated that his current stance is driven by patriotism and a desire for national progress, rather than personal gain.
