The North-Central Elders Forum of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has thrown its support behind Nasarawa State Governor Abdullahi Sule, praising his pivotal role in restoring peace and stability within the party in the region. The forum also endorsed Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje as the National Chairman of the APC.
In a recent visit to the APC national headquarters, Governor Sule met with Ganduje to discuss the interests of the North-Central zone. During the visit, Sule cautioned critics of the APC National Chairman against causing distractions, asserting that the Ganduje-led National Working Committee (NWC) is effectively guiding the party.
Senator Ameh Ebute, former Senate President and Chairman of the North-Central APC Elders Forum, commended Governor Sule for his leadership, describing the visit as a “rightful intervention.” The forum also acknowledged the efforts of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Ganduje in resolving the political crisis within the Benue State chapter of the APC, which led to the formation of a Caretaker Committee that restored peace.
The forum urged other regional APC governors to follow Governor Sule’s example and strengthen ties with the party’s national leadership. Additionally, they called on Ganduje to ensure that the North-Central zone is included in the leadership of the soon-to-be-unveiled National Progressives Institute.
