< 1 mn read

Golden Eaglets head coach Manu Garba has praised his players for their impressive performance in Thursday’s encounter against Togo at the WAFU B U-17 Championship.

The holders booked their place in the semi-final after a comfortable 3-0 victory over the junior Hawks.

Abdulmuiz Adeleke scored twice with Rapha Adams also on target.

“It was a good game for us, it was not because we scored three goals but we played our best game so far,” Garba said after the game.

“We could even have scored more goals in that game as we dominated from start to finish.”

The Golden Eaglets will face Cote d’Ivoire in the semi-final on Saturday.

The winner is guaranteed a ticket to next year’s Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
