The Ondo State Police Command has arrested Yusuf Adenoyin, a 31-year-old man, who was caught in possession of eight dry human skulls at Isua-Akoko in Akoko South West Local Government Area. According to Abayomi Oladipo, the Commissioner of Police in Ondo state, the arrest was made during a routine stop and search operation by operatives of the Police Safer Highway Patrol at Isua/Epinmi checkpoint on June 10, 2024.
During the search of a Nissan Salon car en route to Akure, one of the passengers attempted to flee but was apprehended by police officers. Upon searching him, they discovered eight dry human skulls, fresh human flesh, and charms wrapped in a polythene bag concealed within a garri sack he was carrying.
Yusuf Adenoyin confessed that he intended to supply these items to herbalists. Shockingly, he also admitted to having supplied seven human skulls prior to his arrest. The police have launched an investigation to apprehend any accomplices involved in this gruesome trade.
