Kano Anti-Corruption Commission summons 3 Perm Secs for selling employment forms

The Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission has taken decisive action in response to an alleged employment scam involving the sale of forms within the Office of the Head of Service. According to Muhuyi Rimin-Gado, the commission’s Chairman, two suspects have been arrested, and three Permanent Secretaries have been summoned for questioning as part of the ongoing investigation.

Rimin-Gado disclosed to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) that preliminary investigations have revealed fraudulent activities not only in the Office of the Head of Service but also in the Civil Service Commission, Kano State Secondary Schools Board, and Health Service Management Board. Thousands of job seekers have reportedly been affected by these fraudulent activities.

The commission has already shut down a fake employment portal and emphasized its commitment to rooting out corruption and ensuring justice for the victims of this employment fraud scandal. Rimin-Gado stated that the arrested suspects are cooperating with the investigation, which aims to uncover all parties responsible for the scam.

Furthermore, he underscored the commission’s mandate from the state government to thoroughly investigate the matter and prosecute anyone found culpable. The ongoing efforts of the commission highlight its determination to prevent corruption and uphold justice in Kano State.
