Paul Scholes Names Mark Bosnich as Manchester United’s Worst-Ever Signing.
Former Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has labeled Mark Bosnich as the club’s worst-ever signing. In an interview on The Overlap, Scholes criticized the former goalkeeper’s performance, highlighting his struggles with shot-stopping and kicking. Scholes described Bosnich as “so unprofessional” and noted his poor showing in shooting practice, where he was quickly exhausted after just a few attempts. Scholes recalled a notable incident from the 1999-2000 season opener against Everton, where Bosnich’s inability to kick the ball past the halfway line was evident despite ideal conditions. Scholes, who made 713 appearances for United, emphasized that Bosnich’s performance was unlike anything he had seen before.
