Billy Gilmour Completes Permanent Move to Napoli from Brighton
Billy Gilmour has officially joined Napoli from Brighton on a permanent transfer. The 23-year-old Scotland international has signed with the Italian club after two seasons at Brighton, where he made 60 appearances since arriving from Chelsea in 2022.
Brighton first-team coach Fabian Hurzeler expressed his appreciation for Gilmour, stating, “I have thoroughly enjoyed the short time I worked with Billy. He’s a great professional and I wish him all the best for the future.”
Gilmour’s move to Napoli follows the earlier Deadline Day signing of Scott McTominay from Manchester United, marking Napoli’s second Premier League acquisition this transfer window.
