In a concerning incident, the Managing Director of Fouani Nigeria Limited, along with three Lebanese nationals, was abducted by armed men while traveling by boat in Lagos. The abduction occurred near Falomo Bridge on the evening of June 14, 2024, as the victims were en route from Apapa to Victoria Island.
Fouani Nigeria Limited is a prominent electronics distribution company representing brands such as LG, Hisense, Maxi, Huawei, and Jinko. According to an anonymous source, the kidnappers have contacted the company, demanding a ransom of $1.5 million for the release of the captives.
The Lagos State police command has confirmed the abduction. Police Public Relations Officer Benjamin Hundeyin stated that the authorities received the report and are actively investigating the incident. However, Hundeyin declined to provide specific details about the victims or the circumstances of the abduction, citing the ongoing nature of the investigation.
