Fuji music star Abass Akande, widely known as Obesere, has received an outpouring of support from fans and peers following his survival of a critical surgery. The musician took to Instagram on August 31, 2024, to share his near-death experience and express gratitude to God for his recovery.
In his post, Obesere shared a hospital photo and revealed that the surgery was touch-and-go, but he survived by the grace of Allah. He did not disclose details about his illness but acknowledged the prayers and well-wishes from fans and colleagues.
Fellow Fuji artist KS1 Malaika and veteran comedian Gbenga Adeyinka, among others, have sent messages of support and prayers for his continued health.
