Europa League: Lookman named Player of the Week

Nigeria winger, Ademola Lookman has scooped the UEFA Europa League Player of the Week prize.

Lookman impressed in Atalanta’s remarkable 3-0 victory over Olympic Marseille on Thursday night.

It’s the first time he will be winning the award this season.

The 29-year-old registered one goal and one assist in the encounter played at the Gewiss Stadium, Bergamo.

The former Everton player won the highest number of votes ahead of AS Roma goalkeeper, Mile Svilar.

Lookman has 20 goal involvements across all competitions for Atalanta this season (12 goals and eight assists).

La Dea will face newly crowned Bundesliga champions Bayer Leverkusen in the final.

The encounter is slated for the Aviva Stadium, Dublin, Ireland on Wednesday, May 22.
