On Thursday, some frustrated protesters took over former President Muhammadu Buhari’s residence in Daura, Katsina State. The demonstrators also blocked the main road connecting Mai’adua-Daura with Katsina.

An X user, @Abubakar Hamma Galafi, shared this information in a post: “Protesters have occupied Buhari’s house in Daura. The road linking Mai’adua-Daura and Katsina is blocked as youths express their dissatisfaction with the government.”

Nationwide protests began in Nigeria on August 1, with organizers highlighting issues of widespread hunger and inflation.
