“Chelsea Winger Noni Madueke Set for England Debut, Marking Blow for Nigeria’s Super Eagles”

Chelsea winger Noni Madueke seems to have chosen to represent England over Nigeria, with the 22-year-old included in the Three Lions’ squad for upcoming Nations League fixtures. England, under interim manager Lee Carsley, will face Ireland on September 7 and Finland on September 10.

Madueke’s inclusion comes after a stellar start to the 2024/2025 season, during which he has scored four goals. His recent performances include a goal in Chelsea’s 2-0 UEFA Conference League play-off victory against Servette and a hat-trick in their 6-2 win over Wolves.

Should Madueke play in these matches, he will be ineligible to switch to the Super Eagles, representing a significant setback for Nigeria’s national team.
