Beyond Limits FC has voiced significant disappointment following their exclusion from the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) for the 2024/25 season. The Ikenne-based club was not registered for the top flight due to unresolved ownership issues. Beyond Limits shares ownership with Remo Stars, a factor that contributed to their disqualification.
In an official statement released on X (formerly Twitter), Beyond Limits FC announced, “Beyond Limits regrets to announce that we will not be participating in the 2024-25 NPFL season. Although we are disappointed to miss out on the opportunity to compete at the highest level, we respect the decision and are committed to continuing our development and growth as a team.”
The club confirmed that, despite the setback, they will participate in the Nigeria National League for the 2024/25 season. This participation will allow them to continue their competitive activities and work towards future goals.
As a result of Beyond Limits’ exclusion, Heartland FC has been confirmed as their replacement in the NPFL for the upcoming season. This change highlights the ongoing challenges and administrative complexities within Nigerian football, emphasizing the need for clear resolution of ownership and registration issues.
