Simon Cletus, a Senior Secondary School I student, will captain the Golden Eaglets at the WAFU B U-17 Championship in Ghana.
Cletus is a student at Palm Ville College, Lagos.
The youngster plays for the academy side, Mavlon FC, Lagos.
Holders Golden Eaglets will face Burkina Faso, Niger and Benin in Group B at the WAFU Championship.
Manu Garba’s side will begin the defence of their title against Burkina Faso at the University Stadium, Accra, on Thursday.
The two finalists in the competition will secure a berth at the Africa U-17 Cup of Nations.
