< 1 mn read

Rahmah Aderinoye, CEO of Rashak Farms, is revolutionizing Nigeria’s agricultural sector by empowering over 12,000 farmers and enhancing national food security. Her journey from observing Nigeria’s agricultural challenges to leading an agro-business reflects her deep commitment to social impact and sustainable farming.

Aderinoye co-founded Rashak Farms to tackle food insecurity and poverty in rural areas. Her experience with the Resolution Project Fellowship in 2013, where her project was recognized as the best, further fueled her resolve to address these issues.

The initiatives by Rashak Farms aim to significantly improve the capabilities of smallholder farmers by providing access to essential resources, including input credit, storage facilities, and market opportunities. Aderinoye is also implementing ethical financing based on Islamic loan principles, offering zero-interest loans to farmers.

Despite challenges such as fluctuating government policies and climate change, Aderinoye plans to expand Rashak Farms’ farmer base to 50,000 within the next year. She calls for increased collaboration and investment to support this growth, emphasizing that Rashak Farms’ scalable business model presents an attractive investment opportunity.

Aderinoye’s efforts are designed to bridge inequality gaps among farmers, providing them with the resources and support needed to thrive and contribute significantly to Nigeria’s food supply while improving their quality of life.
