BUA Foods to Build Four New Wheat Milling Plants, Boosting Capacity by 400%

In a recent announcement on the Nigerian Exchange (NGX), BUA Foods revealed plans to construct four new wheat milling plants. This expansion will increase the company’s milling capacity from 500,000 metric tons to 2.5 million metric tons annually, marking a nearly 400% rise.

The new facilities are expected to enhance BUA’s manufacturing capabilities and address food security challenges in Nigeria by producing more high-quality products. Abdulsamad Rabiu, Chairman of BUA Foods, emphasized that this move is part of the company’s strategy to strengthen its position in the Nigerian flour market and create additional job opportunities nationwide.
