Frank Onyeka Joins Augsburg on Season-Long Loan from Brentford
Nigeria midfielder Frank Onyeka has completed a move to Bundesliga club Augsburg on a season-long loan from Brentford. The loan agreement includes a no-purchase option, meaning Onyeka is set to return to Brentford next summer.
Onyeka, who sought more regular playing time, expressed his desire to leave the Bees earlier this summer. Augsburg welcomed the 28-year-old with a message on X: “Welcome, Frank Onyeka. We are delighted to announce the transfer of the Nigerian midfielder, joining us from FC Brentford on loan. Happy to have you in Augsburg.”
Since joining Brentford from FC Midtjylland in July 2021, Onyeka has made 78 appearances for the London club.
