Rangers laud fans turnout for Oriental derby with Enyimba

Rangers have expressed gratitude to their supporters following the massive turnout for the Oriental derby against Enyimba on Sunday.

Over 40,000 fans were reported to have watched the matchday 35 encounter at the Nnamdi Azikwe Stadium, Enugu.

Rangers took to their X account to appreciate the supporters

“Thank you, Ndi Enugwu. Thank you, Amazing fans of Rangers,” the club wrote.

“With heartfelt gratitude.”

The game was however suspended in stoppage time after Rangers were awarded a penalty.

Enyimba players staged a walkout afterwards, while their fans invaded the pitch.
