Tinubu has named new leaders for both the Police Service Commission and the Trust Fund.

President Bola Tinubu has given his approval for the appointment of DIG Hashimu Argungu (Rtd) as the Chairman of the Police Service Commission (PSC). Additionally, Chief Onyemuche Nnamani has been appointed as Secretary, and DIG Taiwo Lakanu (Rtd) as a Member of the Commission.

Chief Ajuri Ngelale, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, announced these appointments in a statement on Monday. Ngelale emphasized that these appointments are subject to confirmation by the Senate. He also mentioned that further appointments to the Police Service Commission will be made in due course.

Furthermore, President Tinubu has sanctioned the appointment of Mohammed Sheidu as the Executive Secretary of the Nigeria Police Trust Fund (NPTF) with immediate effect.

The statement underscores the President’s expectation for integrity, diligence, and patriotic commitment in carrying out these vital responsibilities for the betterment of the Nigeria Police and the nation as a whole.
