“Pep Guardiola: Arsenal Won’t Feel Like Failures Despite Premier League Title Loss”

Manchester City manager, Pep Guardiola, has expressed his belief that Arsenal will not perceive themselves as failures despite missing out on the Premier League title. Guardiola emphasized that not winning a trophy doesn’t equate to failure, ahead of Manchester City’s FA Cup final against Manchester United.

Guardiola’s comments come after Manchester City secured the Premier League title for the second consecutive season, finishing two points ahead of Arsenal. Despite this, Guardiola stressed that the pressure to win trophies is significant in football management, citing the recent sacking of Xavi, the former Barcelona boss.

“In our job, you have to win, otherwise you are in a dangerous position,” Guardiola stated. “Whatever club, no matter your trajectory, you have to win and do a good job… But people have to understand that just one win can win. All the others are failures? I don’t think so, honestly.”

Guardiola emphasized the importance of perspective, stating that he wouldn’t view himself as a failure if he didn’t win the Premier League, and he believes Arsenal shares a similar sentiment. However, he acknowledged the demands of the profession, stating, “Our job is what it is. If you don’t accept that, it’s better you don’t do this job.”
